She is also a nationally certified personal trainer and group certified fitness instructor.

The board-certified physician focuses on preventive and primary care services as well as the treatment of chronic illnesses. She is also a clinical professor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for first year medical students from NOVA Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a volunteer professor in the Department of Medicine.

Women Leadership Achievement Award from the World Women Leadership Congress; Women Impacting Public Policy’s Legacy Circle Award; and she was named an Honorary Ambassador of Cascais, Portugal, by the Ambassador’s Club of the Industry Sector of Cascais and the Estoril Coast.
